I find this story so hard to believe, but this is content gold.

NFL legend and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is reportedly planning to launch a new career in stand-up comedy, according to RadarOnline. The same report also claims that his inner circle is trying to talk him out of it.

“Tom was a terrific quarterback, but he needs to toss this idea before it’s too late,” according to a RadarOnline source who reportedly heard Brady’s comedy material. “As a comic — he’s strictly a water boy.”

RadarOnline claims that Brady’s ego was inflated by the gushing of Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno in the “80 for Brady” comedy film, which reportedly left him feeling like he could be a solid stand-up comic.

“The ladies were super nice to him and he did a nice job reading professionally written material in a small part — but he’ll be playing in a whole different league if he takes up the stand-up stage,” the insider told RadarOnline. “He does a great impersonation of former teammate Rob Gronkowski — and his over-the-top Boston accent is hilarious.”

However, the source also claims that some of Brady’s jokes are, well, terrible.

Here is one example, reportedly of course:

“What did the linebacker say to the flight attendant? Put me in coach!”

As you see, RadarOnline also included in its report that Tom Brady decided to hold off on his mega deal with FOX Sports for a year in an attempt to win back his wife Gisele Bündchen, which I don’t believe either, but it’s the stand-up comic claims that really boggled my mind. RadarOnline’s article sounds outright satirical because it’s so hilarious, but if this ends up being true …

Holy shit, dude.
