Former President Donald Trump announced he would be traveling to New York to appear at the courthouse for his arraignment Tuesday.

“I will be leaving Mar-a-Lago on Monday at 12 noon, heading to Trump Tower in New York. On Tuesday morning I will be going to, believe it or not, the Courthouse. America was not supposed to be this way!” Trump said Sunday night on Truth Social.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office indicted Trump Thursday on allegations relating to his then-lawyer Michael Cohen paying hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. Daniels was allegedly paid $130,000 to keep her from speaking about an affair with Trump, and the case relates to the Trump Organization’s reimbursement to Cohen.

The indictment remains under seal, but the former president is reportedly facing more than 30 counts related to business fraud, CNN reported. (RELATED: Manhattan Grand Jury Votes To Indict Donald Trump)

Trump reacted to the indictment Thursday, calling it “Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history.”

“From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats – the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this Country – have been engaged in a Witch-Hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement. You remember it just like I do: Russia, Russia, Russia; the Mueller Hoax; Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine; Impeachment Hoax 1; Impeachment Hoax 2; the illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid; and now this,” Trump began in his statement.
