Country music singer and “Yellowstone” season five actress Lainey Wilson said Sunday that TV is crazier than the music industry.

Wilson’s comments came the morning before she took the stage at the Stagecoach Festival in California, according to Entertainment Tonight. Many of her co-stars from the hit cowboy drama, co-created by Taylor Sheridan, were also in attendance at the festival and came out in support of the singer.

“It’s crazy, you know? They’ve honestly just welcomed me with open arms. They have just treated me like one of their own,” Wilson told the outlet. “I didn’t really know what to expect, especially the first day of set, but they treated me with respect.”

Wilson’s role in the series is relatively small and new, but she’s apparently going to continue focusing on music as her core means of “expressing” herself. With so much drama around the future of “Yellowstone,” that’s probably a good call for Wilson.

Season five of the series went on break early in 2023. Within a month, rumors were flying that the series could be cancelled, postponed, or just left on an indefinite hiatus due to ongoing tensions between leading actor Kevin Costner and Sheridan.

“I feel like I’ve learned that TV business is even crazier than the music business,” she noted. “And that’s the truth.” (RELATED: ‘Yellowstone’ Star Gives Update On Season Five Filming Schedule)

But Wilson was planning on getting a phone call from Sheridan on Sunday to let her know what the future holds. “I’m planning on getting an update today. It’s wild,” Wilson continued. Hopefully she’ll let us know what Sheridan has to say!
