A popular soccer coach in Tennessee was arrested after graphic videos purporting to show him raping unconscious minors were discovered on a phone left behind at a local restaurant.

Camilo Hurtado Campos, 63, is in custody on charges of rape of a child and sexual exploitation of a minor after authorities were alerted to dozens of videos and pictures discovered on his phone, a press release from the Franklin Police Department stated. The videos and images were found on June 22 by employees at a local restaurant after a phone was left behind by a customer, WSMV reported.  As they perused the contents of the phone in an attempt to find the owner, they discovered the disturbing images and contacted authorities, the release continued.

As police launched their investigation, dozens of pictures and videos turned into hundreds which allegedly depicted Campos raping unconscious young boys, between the ages of 9 and 17 years old, the release stated. Police believe the offenses were committed over the course of 20 years, adding that because of their unconscious state, many of the victims could be unaware they were assaulted, according to the press release. Police allege that Campos would spend his time near school playgrounds in two different neighborhoods where he would approach kids and recruit them as players on his team. Once earning their trust, Campos would allegedly invite some of the kids to his home where he drugged and then raped them.

“I’ve seen him, he used to play here. I remember when we were little, he used to invite us, but we never went and played with him,” an unidentified soccer player told WSMV.

Investigators say they have uncovered the rape of at least 10 different children on Campos’ phone, two of which have been identified. Authorities are working to identify the remaining victims as they continue their investigation.
