“Yellowstone” co-creator Taylor Sheridan has another hit on his hands with “Special Ops: Lioness,” according to data published Wednesday.

“Special Ops: Lioness” was the most-watched global series premiere for Paramount+ ever, according to Deadline. Streamers were able to watch the first two episodes on July 23, with Paramount Network viewers having to wait until July 30 to catch the second.

With only three episodes released thus far, the series is off to an extremely strong start. In just three days, the premiere had a combined audience of almost 6 million people. It’s no wonder that it was tipped for a second season before the first episode even dropped.

“On one of the most competitive weeks of the year, ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ scored as the #1 new scripted series of the year on cable and one of the highest performers of all time on Paramount+,” President and CEO of Paramount Media Chris McCarthy said of the show. “Brilliantly created by Taylor Sheridan and brought to life by our stellar cast, this heart-pounding thriller inspired by real-life events clearly struck a chord with a huge audience.” (RELATED: ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ Episode Two Is Violent, Terrifying, And Laugh-Out-Loud Funny)

It’ll be hard for mainstream Hollywood to keep shunning Sheridan after this show, as it’s arguably one of the most diverse, well-scripted, and action-packed pieces of entertainment he’s ever created.
