Halloween season is right around the corner, and I’m totally game!

My wife and I have already been loading up on decorations and getting prepared for our Halloween marathon, where we watch at least one scary movie a day for the entire month of October. Needless to say, I’m pretty amped, and a new horror flick on the horizon just boosted my excitement — this bad boy is wicked.

MGM has released the official trailer for “Dark Harvest,” dropping for all audiences digitally Friday, Oct. 13.

The David Slade-directed film, based on the award-winning novel of the same name, focuses on a small town where every year on Halloween, a supernatural entity with an incredibly epic name of Sawtooth Jack rises from the cornfields to … well … kill and scare the living hell out of everybody.

To fight back against Sawtooth Jack (damn, I love that name), the town recruits a group of teenagers to kill him before the church bell rings at midnight. Teenagers, ha! I’m sure that’ll work. And to make it worse, Sawtooth Jack isn’t the only thing the teens have to worry about. They have to compete against each other to be the one to kill Mr. Jack. It honestly sounds like a disaster, and as you’ll see from the trailer, Sawtooth ain’t playin’ no games.

Yep, this is definitely another film to add to the docket for Halloween. October is going to be so epic.
