“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg shocked her co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin on Thursday by randomly asking her if she is pregnant.
Goldberg randomly cut herself off mid-sentence to ask Griffin the personal question while discussing Republican Utah Sen. Mitt Romney’s announcement that he will not seek reelection.
“Are you pregnant?” Goldberg asked.
“No, oh my god! You can’t say that in front of my mother-in-law who’s here, who’s dying for me to get pregnant,” Griffin said. “Why? Do I look pregnant?”
“Yes,” Goldberg responded. “I just got, I just got a vibe. I’m so sorry.”
Co-host Sunny Hostin suggested “taking bets” on whether Griffin was pregnant. Griffin said she “is very open” to being pregnant but is currently is not. (RELATED: ‘Sex In A Pool’: Whoopi Leaves Producer Shaking His Head After TMI Rant Derails Segment)
“Forgive me, I, you have this, I see a look,” Goldberg said.
“I will take it, I will take it,” Griffin said. “I’ll take a test when I get home just to make sure.”
“We like babies at ‘The View,'” Hostin said. “We like baby showers.”
Griffin then returned back to talking about Romney, a Republican whom the co-hosts all have agreed they like.
Goldberg has a history of getting a little too personal on-air, such as describing sex in a pool and revealing how she does not wear underwear.
