MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough had a meltdown Monday while discussing a new poll showing former President Donald Trump with a double digit lead over President Joe Biden.
A Washington Post/ABC News poll found Trump is leading Biden by 10 points, with The Post adding a caveat that the results could be an outlier.
Scarborough referenced Mark Halperin’s newsletter which included commentary that Biden has been underestimated in the past but still proves everyone wrong.

“There’s a close race, and there are warning signs there. I will say, though, I’m a little tired of it. I’m a little tired of three years of hearing about how Joe Biden is going to get crushed. He’s going to get crushed in 2020. He and the Democrats are going to get crushed in 2022. There’s going to be a red wave. There’s no way he can pass bipartisan legislation. He passes more than anybody this century. It just keeps going on and on.”
“His entire life mocked and ridiculed, and the guy somehow keeps winning,” Scarborough argued. “I saw [the poll], and I literally started laughing out loud, put it down, and went out and had my Sunday morning walk because it’s a joke.”
The Post poll also found Democrats are increasingly dissatisfied with Biden, with 3 in 5 Democrat and Democrat-leaning independents indicating they would prefer someone other than Biden as the nominee. The poll found 48% of respondents, in retrospect, approved of Trump’s presidency compared to 49% who disapproved.
The poll was conducted from Sept. 15-20 among 1,006 randomly selected adults contacted via landlines and cell phones. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
