“Man vs Street” future award-winning host Joel Gibbons put his expert interview skills to the streets in October to ask Gen Z whether or not they trust the media.

It turns out Gen Z understands that everyone in the media has their own bias. It really doesn’t matter where you are in the world, or where you consume your news: there is always risk of bias or a particular slant that will lead you into thinking a certain way.

The way Gen Z wants to overcome media bias is by reading from multiple sources and following a diverse group of outlets on their social media channels. Obviously, anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows it doesn’t matter how many different outlets you read, all media is biased. But it was cute to see Gen Z at least admit the limitations of the current media landscape. And the one thing everyone could agree on? Twitter sucks.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times: Twitter is a cult and no one in the real world gives a crap about what happens on there. It is so funny to me when people think their high followership on social media translates to a real-world level of success or fame. It doesn’t.

It just means you spend more time online than you do with your family, and that’s a pretty pathetic situation to be in. (RELATED: If Sniffing Your Own Farts Could Be An Article About Pete Buttigieg, It Would Be This One In ‘Wired’)

Even Gen Z realizes how cringe Twitter is … this is the same generation that doesn’t know who did 9/11, guys. What does that say about us?
