Police surveillance cameras captured a former Connecticut state worker’s meltdown at the Bristol Police Department office.

The video saw 51-year-old Suzanne Laprise in a state of apparent distress as she repeatedly fired her handgun against the protective glass at the Police Department office. The incident took place at approximately 11:30 p.m. Oct. 5, according to a press release by the Office of Inspector General. Laprise reportedly entered the police department premises carrying her handgun.

“She approached the front lobby desk office windows and banged on the windows with a handgun. The front lobby desk was unoccupied at that time,” the statement reads. “After banging on the windows, Laprise fired multiple rounds into the windows. The rounds did not penetrate the bullet-resistant glass.”

During the incident, Officer Spencer Boisvert fired two shots towards Laprise but no one was injured, according to the police report. The video footage captured the response of multiple officers as they rushed towards Laprise when she momentarily set her firearm down.
