Fridays might as well be called “Fry Days” because McDonald’s is giving out free fries for the rest of the year.

The fast-food chain’s “Free Fries Fridays” promotion allows customers ten opportunities to receive a free order of medium fries starting Oct. 27 and continuing until Dec. 29, according to CNBC.

Each customer is limited to one order of free fries per Friday, the outlet reported. The free fries deal requires customers to make a purchase of at least $1 and nullifies any other discounts available that day.

Downloading the McDonald’s app and making an account is required to receive free fries, according to CNBC. The app prompts users to make use of the Friday offer on days when it is applicable.

This is not the first time McDonald’s gave away free fries, according to the outlet. The fast-food chain honored National French Fry Day in July by giving customers free fries. (RELATED: McDonald’s Contradicts Itself On Israel-Hamas Attacks, Denies ‘Political Involvement’)

Other free food promotions by McDonald’s in the past include its free six-piece McNugget deal in January to celebrate the restaurant’s 40th anniversary and its 50 cent cheeseburger deal on National Cheeseburger Day in September, CNBC noted.

Fries have not always been available for free distribution at McDonald’s. Japanese McDonald’s chains rationed french fry sizes due to decreased potato imports caused by supply chain delays in 2021.
