Fox Business reporter Hillary Vaughn pressed Hunter Biden on Wednesday over why he previously put his father on speakerphone while surrounded by foreign business associates.

Biden’s former business associate, Devon Archer, testified to the Oversight Committee in June that Biden put his father on speakerphone on over twenty occasions.

“Mr. Biden, why did you put your dad on speakerphone if he had nothing to do with your business?” Vaughn asked. “You put him on speakerphone multiple times and talked to your business partners, why did you do that?”

“Just be careful…” Biden said, seemingly about the possibility of tripping in the crowded hall.

“Mr. Biden, why did you put your dad on speakerphone with your business partners if he had no involvement in your business?” Vaughn repeated.

“You have a dad?” Biden asked. “Does he call you?

“Yes,” Vaughn said.

“Does he answer the phone?” the president’s son continued.

“Yes,” she answered.

“Okay,” Biden said.

“But why did you need to talk to him during business meetings if he had nothing to do with your business?” she asked.

The younger Biden unexpectedly appeared on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning as the House Oversight Committee held a hearing over whether to hold him in contempt of Congress. He abruptly fled the hearing amid deliberations.

Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan threatened to initiate contempt of Congress for defying a congressional subpoena to appear for a Dec. 13 closed-door deposition.

Watch another angle of Vaughn confronting Hunter Biden:

The network initially reported that Hunter called Vaughn “dangerous.” This was later corrected on “The Faulkner Focus,” since Hunter called a different reporter “dangerous” for almost tripping him.
