Chiefs star receiver Rashee Rice turned himself in to police Thursday after leaving the scene of a six-car crash that he allegedly caused while racing a sports car, The Associated Press (AP) reported.

Rice was allegedly involved in a March 30 accident where he was racing a Lamborghini with another driver in a Corvette when he and the other driver lost control, dashcam video appears to show.

Rice turned himself in at the Glenn Heights Police Department, was booked into the Regional Jail in DeSoto, and released on bond Thursday, a spokesperson for his attorney told The AP. (RELATED: Travis Kelce Crushes Beer On Stage While He Accepts College Diploma)

Dallas police issued warrants for Rice, who they say was driving the Lamborghini involved in the crash, and for Southern Methodist University receiver Teddy Knox, who they claim was driving the Corvette, on Wednesday, according to The AP.

Initial reports claimed Rice was driving the Corvette.

They charged Rice with one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury, according to The AP.

“Mr. Rice acknowledges his actions and feels deeply for those injured as a result of this accident,” his lawyers told The AP. They also noted his “continued cooperation,” according to the outlet.

Rice and Knox allegedly left the scene of the crash without providing their information to authorities, Dallas Police told the AP.

Rice released a statement in early April regarding the incident.

“Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident. I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident.”
