There’s been a lot of complaining going on from fans about the WNBA salary that Caitlin Clark will have, but with that being said, those people can relax. Yeah, she might not be getting paid on the court like she deserves, but Nike is making up for lost profit as the two sides have agreed on a lucrative eight-figure deal, according to a Wednesday report from The Athletic.
To their credit, the WNBA already has some star talent to work with such as Candace Parker and Kelsey Plum, but let’s be honest here, they’ve never had somebody with the stardom of Caitlin Clark. And this is exactly why Nike is throwing her a boatload of money. On top of that, she’ll also be getting her own signature shoe with Nike — Caitlin’s gonna have her own sneaker! Welp … Caitlin Clark has officially gotten her bag, and I’m willing to bet that it’s only going to get bigger.
