Hit Taylor Sheridan series “Tulsa King” added the legendary actor Neal McDonough to season two’s series regulars Wednesday.

Most fans of the Sheridan-universe shows on Paramount+ will recognize McDonough as the vicious “Yellowstone” villain Malcolm Beck. It looks like McDonough is reprising his inner-business psychopath for an upcoming role alongside Sylvester Stallone in “Tulsa King,” where he’ll apparently play Cal Thresher, “a powerful and extremely territorial businessman in Tulsa,” according to Variety.

“Tulsa King” is one of Paramount’s most watched series to-date, coming in just behind “Yellowstone” prequel “1923.” Production on season two of the series started in April, so we should probably expect to see new episodes before the end of 2024.

The first season followed Sly’s leading man, Dwight Manfredi, as he navigates leaving a long-term prison stint only to be relegated by his former mob from the big city to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Described as a “comedy of errors” by Sheridan, the series is a pretty epic balance of brilliant scripting, subtle yet impactful character work by all of the cast members and a storyline that will lull you into a true sense of escapism instead of being preached at about ideological stuff no one cares about (like seemingly every other show on Netflix, Disney and similar streaming platforms).

If you’ve yet to watch “Tulsa King” season one, I highly recommend you do so before the new season drops. I guarantee the finale will leave you screaming at your TV set in the best way ever.
