A small airplane was forced to make a crash landing Sunday afternoon on a golf course in Sacramento, California, narrowly missing a golfer.
The Sacramento Fire Department said it responded to a report of a crash landing at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex around 1:00 p.m., according to KCRA 3. No one was severely injured, except for the pilot who reportedly walked away with a minor cut on his hand. Security footage from several angles shows the crash landing.

Golfer Fred Robertson spoke with KCRA 3 following the incident.
“Definitely counting my blessings, yeah,” he said. “I usually put on that putting green over there, and uh, but missed by chance, you know. Something told me to hold off before I got here.”
The pilot had just taken off from McClellan Airfield and was only about 400 feet altitude when his engine shut down, Sacramento Fire Department Captain Justin Sylvia told KCRA 3.
“He knew that he was not going to make it back to the airport,” Sylvia said. “This was the safest place he could find.”
Security footage shows the plane skid off the grass of the course, missing a golfer on a practice green before coming to a stop next to the pro shop. (RELATED: Video Appears To Show Lightning Bolt Hitting Plane, Reportedly Forcing Emergency Landing)
“We were on the 16th hole when it happened,” a golfer told KCRA in an interview. “You know, and our group heard the loud crash, but we had no idea it was a plane.”
