“I mean this is what the people voted for, and it’s one thing to oppose it on policy, it’s another thing to use the kind of exterminationist, eliminationist rhetoric that they’re using in appealing to violence, and, uh, that sort of thing.”
And then Olbermann says stuff.
Yes, we all know how concerned Kos was when people were calling for George Bush to be murdered. Writing books and making movies about it. And, uh, that sort of thing. But hey, it’s not like they held up a sign with a picture of Obama and a slogan like, “Keep the Change!” Can’t you see the coded genocidal language there?
“Eliminationist rhetoric” is a phrase that has some currency on the far left. It seems to be a catchall that means, “I don’t like you and you are a doodyhead and everything you say is worse than the worst things ever said in human history, and I’m not even exaggerating.”
The racism charge isn’t panning out like they planned, so now they’re going with the “Army of McVeighs” angle. Despite the fact that the only Tea Party-related violence we’ve seen has been against Tea Partiers. Hell, a black man got beat up for selling “Don’t Tread on Me” flags, and that guy in Thousand Oaks got a whole finger bitten off by an Obamacare supporter. I don’t remember Bill Clinton giving a crap about that.

This is a meltdown, and I just get angrier and angrier — and more and more optimistic — as they vent seething hatred and vile condescension at the voters who will decide their political fates in just five months and a couple of weeks.
