MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) — (08/06/10) — UPDATE — There have been five deadly stabbings and at least eight other incidents since last May in Flint, Flint Township, Burton and Genesee Township.

Michigan State Police are coordinating the multi-jurisdictional investigation.

Flint Police Chief Alvern Lock says all agencies are working to catch this suspect before anything else happens.

Forensic profilers are being consulted to try to determine his motivation, and sketch artists will be made available.

Police want the public to be aware of his M-O as well.

“This suspect is preying upon being people’s good will. He’s seeking them out and asking them for help, and receiving it – and repaying it by repeatedly stabbing,” Flint police Lt. T.P. Johnson said. “He doesn’t rob them. He just attacks them for no reason at all.”
