Woman arrested for setting Tyler police car on fire

TYLER, TX (KLTV) – KLTV has confirmed that a woman climbed the fence of the back parking lot of the Tyler Police Department and set a police cruiser on fire.

Police say Payton Nicole Herrington, 19, of Lindale doused the vehicle with gasoline and set it on fire. Police say Herrington set the police car on fire out of anger.

She’s charged with arson and criminal trespassing.
