Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson is the latest high-profile actor to join HBO’s “Game Change,” a retelling of the 2008 presidential race based on the bestselling book.
Harrelson will play Steve Schmidt, the hard-charging adviser to Sen. John McCain who reportedly tangled with McCain’s running mate, then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
In the HBO film, McCain will be played by Ed Harris, while Julianne Moore will take on the role of Palin.
