Mitt Romney says he raised more than $10 million on Monday through a Nevada fundraising event.
His exploratory committee said in a news release that about 800 people gathered inside the Las Vegas Convention Center to dial for dollars.
The event began at 9 a.m. and ended at 5 p.m.
Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, is in the exploratory phase of mounting a campaign for the White House.
His finance chairman, Spencer Zwick, said the event shows Romney “will have the resources to be competitive and to spread his jobs and economy message.”
