The Leys in Cambridge, a prestigious private school in the United Kingdom, is playing with the idea of having porn actresses teach sex education.
Principal Mark Slater has publicly said that having porn stars share their stories will “empower” students, the Telegraph reports.
Slater said the need for this type of educational perspective is needed because of the pervasiveness and accessibility of unrealistic pornography to youth.
“I don’t think you can escape porn given that it’s almost impossible to legislate against what goes on the internet,” he said. “There are young people who have got easy access to all sorts of material which wasn’t accessible years ago.”
He also said he would only choose porn stars with “good values” to talk to the students. He ultimately wants the porn stars’ stories to show the difference between fake scenarios in porn and real, fulfilling relationships.
Slater happens to be retiring in December. The Leys costs $43,000 annually, with 550 co-ed students.
