Walt Disney Studios announced the release date for the latest installment of the swashbuckling summer series “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

“Pirates of the Caribbean 5” will open in theaters July 7, 2017, a mere three years away, according to the Disney.com blog Oh My Disney.

Previously, the film’s subtitle was reportedly “Dead Men Tell No Tales,” according to Screen Rant, but the official subtitle hasn’t been released. Neither plot details nor a cast list has been released yet, but Johnny Depp will presumably be returning as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Disney’s blog is betting that “some adventure, romance, and all around swashbuckling fabulousness on the high seas” will be included in the flick. It also asks for readers to comment about what they’re most excited to see in the film.

Most comments complained about how long it is until the film’s released, but some commenters weren’t as excited for the movie, with one saying “I love the movies, but wish they’d stop while they’re ahead.”

And the call for the original cast (e.g., Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Kiera Knigtley and co.) to come back was a common theme.

“Better actors than in the last one! (apart from Johnny of course!). ie NOT Ian McShane, nor Penelope Cruz – please. Bring back the first crew!”
