Maybe telling a heckler to shut up is presidential, after all?
Thirty-four years ago today, President Ronald Reagan famously told hecklers during a speech to “oh, shut up!”
“There are cities in Michigan,” Reagan said in the 1980 speech, while being interrupted by hecklers.
“There are cities in Michigan,” he said again, before addressing the hecklers: “Oh shut up!”
