Republicans look poised to take the Senate, but former Republican Rep. Ron Paul isn’t at all happy with that prospect. Actually, he seems downright angry about it.
The former presidential candidate and libertarian leader took to Twitter Tuesday night to slam a potential GOP victory, stating that a Republican Senate will launch more “neocon wars” and that the party hasn’t changed its philosophy one bit.
Republican control of the Senate = expanded neocon wars in Syria and Iraq. Boots on the ground are coming!

Looks like big Republican win tonight. Power shift? Yes. Philosophy shift? No!

He also blasted the idea that voting is all that matters, saying how a citizen votes is all that matters.
Fallacy: ‘Doesn’t matter how you vote, just vote.’ How U vote only thing that DOES matter! Not voting is sometimes a good vote. #GoVote2014

But even with his criticism of the GOP, he’s still hopeful Sen. Mitch McConnell will consider a vote on Paul’s signature “Audit the Fed” legislation if he becomes majority leader.
With Republican control of the Senate, looking forward to a vote on audit the Fed! What do you think, Majority Leader McConnell? #Vote2014

No word yet on how Sen. Rand Paul reacted to his dad’s tweets.
