Hillary Clinton’s campaign might want to reconsider its new slogan: “It’s Your Time.”
After Clinton officially announced her candidacy for President of the United States Sunday afternoon, Team Clinton emailed the following press release to reporters, which highlighted the catch phrase.
“It’s Your Time” sounds a lot like a slogan you could imagine being attached to Oprah Winfrey’s television network or a Tony Robbin’s motivational seminar.
Unfortunately for Clinton, the slogan is similar to the name of an online dating site — OurTime.com — that caters to Americans in their “50s, 60s and beyond.”
Should she win in 2016, the 67-year-old former secretary of state would be the second oldest president ever elected to a first term. While not necessarily a liability, several of her more youthful potential Republican challengers have tried to use her advanced age against her by framing Clinton and her message as relics of the past.
Her new slogan only helps buttress that narrative.
