ESPN host Scott Van Pelt is not pleased with how some in the media are portraying the legacy of Lamar Odom as he clings to life in a Nevada hospital after overdosing on drugs at a brothel.
Odom has won two NBA championships, but Van Pelt is taking exception to some in media who prefer to portray him as simply the husband of reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.
On Wednesday night, the broadcaster unleashed a rant aimed at anybody boiling down Odom’s existence simply to who he was married to or what television shows he might have appeared on.
“I understand not everybody watches sports, but Kardashian reality star? His name is Lamar Odom, and we knew it long before he got married on a TV show that we don’t watch,” Van Pelt said.
