Assistant Minority Leader Sen. [crscore]Richard Durbin[/crscore] says he doesn’t understand why Hillary Clinton operated a private server in the basement of her home.
Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Monday, the Democratic senator agreed with host Joe Scarborough that the government officials need to have separate email accounts for their work and personal emails.
Durbin did his best to defend Clinton, suggesting he didn’t believe that Clinton had a “motive to conceal things.”
But host Mika Brzezinski insisted, “I don’t know what the motive of having the server in the basement is.”
Durbin responded, “Well, I don’t understand that either.”
Brzezinski said, “OK, so you just can’t just throw that away.”
Bloomberg Politics managing editor Mark Halperin deadpanned Clinton’s upcoming schedule this week where she has no campaign events, but is testifying in front of the Benghazi Select Committee Thursday.
“As much as she’s answered every question already, she says, apparently she still wants to spend the week preparing to answer the same questions she says she’s answered before,” Halperin said.
