Chris Rock was announced as the host for the 2016 Oscars Wednesday.
“Chris Rock is truly the MVP of the entertainment industry,” David Hill and Reginald Hudlin, producers, said in a statement on the Oscars website.
“Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian – he’s done it all. He’s going to be a phenomenal Oscar host!”
Rock said he’s glad to be back to host the show for a second time.
