Robert Durst pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in a New Orleans federal court Wednesday.

The real estate heir copped to illegally possessing a .38-caliber after he was arrested at his Louisiana hotel last March. The 72-year-old is a convicted felon, which makes it illegal for him to own any firearm. (VIDEO: SNL’s Robert Durst Impression Is Perfect…Down To The Liar’s Blink)

After making a plea bargain agreement with prosecutors, Durst will serve 85 months in federal prison.

If you missed HBO’s “The Jinx,” Durst was charged with killing his longtime friend Susan Berman the day before the show’s finale, where he seemingly mumbled that he “killed them all.”

He is wanted in California for her murder, but won’t be extradited until later this year, NBC reports. (RELATED: Robert Durst Just Wrote The Most Bizarre Letter While In Jail)
