Bernie Sanders said the Clinton campaign is “very heavy … into spinning things.”

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday, Sanders said in the aftermath of a razor close finish in Iowa “you know, you can talk about won, who lost … but when we came from so far down, taking on the most powerful political machine in the Democratic party, I think we did pretty well and I think most Americans recognized that.” (RELATED: Clinton Narrowly Tops Sanders In Iowa)

Joe Scarborough: Were you bothered by the fact, as most reporters were, on election night that Hillary Clinton declared victory that it was a virtual tie and 20 percent of the vote still had not been counted?

Bernie Sanders: You know, the Clinton campaign is very heavy, Joe, into spinning things. And I’m sure they had a deep reason. They would get national attention and blah, blah, blah, blah. You can talk about won, who lost and — but when we came from so far down, taking on the most powerful political machine in the Democratic party, I think we did pretty well, and I think most Americans recognized that.
