Bernie Sanders made an appearance at Coachella over the weekend.
At the week-long music festival in Indio, Calif., Sanders appeared via video to introduce Killer Mike and his group “Run the Jewels” — returning the favor for Mike who endorsed him earlier this year.
Killer Mike — whose real name is Michael Render — has been a vocal advocate for the Democratic candidate and has made several appearances at his campaign events.
“One of the highlights of running for president over this past year has been getting to know Killer Mike,” Sanders said in a pre-recorded video. “His depth of passion, his knowledge and commitment to community is an inspiration to me, and I value his friendship immensely.
