It’s not often you find a line snaking around a Barnes & Noble at 9 a.m. on a Sunday, especially not in 2016. Yet, that’s what I came across this morning. It could only mean one thing — the new Harry Potter book is now available.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is the eighth Harry Potter book, and it comes nine years after the release of the last one, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” This highly anticipated story has been the #1 Best Seller on Amazon all year, as it became one of the most pre-ordered books of all time. Here’s the synopsis:

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is guaranteed to be the book everyone is talking about for the rest of the summer, so do yourself a favor and read it now.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” — $17.99 Hardcover/$14.99 Kindle
