Loretta Lynn was forced to cancel a concert this weekend after she took a nasty spill.
Though the 84-year-old country star was scheduled to perform at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. on Labor Day, she canceled after she suffered a fall earlier this week. Doctors said an X-ray image revealed that there were no broken bones, just a few bruised ribs. (RELATED: Loretta Lynn’s Grandson Dies)
Lynn’s twin daughters Peggy and Patsy performed several of her hits for the audience instead.
“I thank you all for coming, and I’m sorry I can’t be there with you,” Loretta said in a letter to her fans. “I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up.”
“I injured my chest and can’t get a deep enough breath to sing, but I’ll update you Monday after I see the doctor.”
Lynn is still scheduled to perform her concerts on Sept. 9 and 10. (RELATED: This Huge Country Star Just Revealed The Republican She’s Supporting For President)
