A Georgia woman found herself fighting for her life as three armed burglars stormed her Gwinnett County, Ga., home late Thursday.

“She exercised her right to defend her livelihood and property,” Gwinnett County Police Department Cpl. Deon Washington told Atlanta’s WSB 2.

Unprecedented surveillance footage from inside the home shows three armed attackers confront the woman, who opened fire after they pulled a gun on her. Later footage shows the woman calling 911 while shooting the attackers as they fled the property.

Police told local reporters the men were looking for cash “when they met their match.” One burglar ran through a glass door in a desperate attempt to flee the scene. Police reported one of the burglars died in the woman’s driveway after the shooting.

“It’s not common that we receive this caliber of surveillance video showing the crime unfold, an actual home invasion,” Washington said. “They’re not wearing anything on their faces so we’re highly anticipating someone watching the evening newscast will recognize these people.”

Georgia state law requires no registration for handguns, and required a background check before legally obtaining a firearm. Any private gun sales do not require a background check, but knowingly selling a firearm to a felon is a felony.
