The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced a new effort to get black voters to the polls in Florida Thursday, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Democrats are targeting one county in the highly contested I-4 corridor of the state which is home to several predominantly black neighborhoods. Pinellas County will be the target of a series of political ads heavily featuring President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Interestingly enough, the ad doesn’t explicitly mention Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, instead focusing on getting black voters to the polls to vote for Democratic congressional candidate Charlie Crist and Stephanie Murphy.

“We have the opportunity to build on all the progress we’ve made, to fight for the issues you and I believe in. I’m doing everything I can to make sure our Democrats all around the country have what they need to win, and that’s why I need you,” Obama says in the new ad. “I need you to vote. I need you to make sure your friends, family and neighbors vote.”

Obama admitted that black voters nationwide aren’t coming out to the polls in strong enough numbers for Clinton Wednesday in an interview on the Tom Joyner Morning Show.

“I’m going to be honest with you right now, because we track, we’ve got early voting, we’ve got all kinds of metrics to see what’s going on, and right now, the Latino vote is up. Overall vote is up. But the African-American vote right now is not as solid as it needs to be,” Obama said during the interview.
