MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough warned the media not to keep underestimating President-elect Donald Trump Monday, saying that if they continue labeling him a Nazi, they’ll set the bar so low he’ll win again.
“Ronald Reagan feasted on the low expectations of his rivals,” he said on Morning Joe. “There were piles of political bones at Ronald Reagan’s feet from people that underestimated him. “Nobody in the media learned their lesson,” he continued. “Nobody. They’re doing it again. You paint a swasticker [sic] on his forehead, you call him a Nazi, you’re going to set expectation so low that he’s going to beat you again. It’s just going to happen.”
