YouTube gun channel sensation “IraqVeteran8888” released a video on Wednesday detailing which guns are best for firing through thick brush.

The video tests out rifles as small as a .22LR and as big as the Henry .45-70 All Weather rifle. The results are prettying convincing for what weapons work best in the even you know you’re going to be firing through some brush. It’s not surprising that the .22lr and .556 rounds were not capable of accurately hammering through the brush on a consistent basis. I can’t tell you how many times personally I’ve attempted fired my Ruger 10/22 through a brush situation only to get frustrated knowing how unlikely I am to hit the target. Moral of the story, if you’re going to fire the brush leave your .22, .223/.556 and other small caliber guns at home.
