A routine bond hearing in Jeffery County, Ky., escalated dramatically when a defendant threatened to “smack the shit” out of a local judge.

Michael Ray, 36, appeared for a bond hearing on four charges, including second degree terroristic threatening and assault. The prosecution asked the court to set bail at $25,000.

Ray scoffed at the figure as it was announced by a court official, and began to walk away from the proceedings. His incivility prompted the judge to set bail at $50,000.

“Hope I see you in the street, bitch,” Ray said on his way out of the courtroom. (RELATED: Defendant Melts Down, Throws Feces At Judge [VIDEO])

“Bring him in here, I’m holding him in contempt,” the judge retorted.

Ray continued to vulgarly express his indignance, as his court-appointed counsel urged him to calm down. The judge sentenced him to a 100-day jail term for his outburst.

“I see you outside on the street, I’m going to smack the shit out of you,” he shouted as he was led away by bailiffs.
