Things grew somewhat touchy-feely on Capitol Hill this week as reporters questioned lawmakers about Gen. Mike Flynn, who resigned from his position as President Trump‘s National Security Advisor.
John Donnelly is a longtime Capitol Hill reporter who works for Congressional Quarterly.
He asked Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) a question unrelated to Flynn and here’s what happened.
“John McCain fielded a lot of Qs from me and other reporters today about Michael Flynn,” Donnelly wrote on social media. “When I offered to ask him a ‘non-Flynn’ question, he hugged me, which was awkward.”
Awkward, yes. But also cute.
