Sad news for fans of late-night wingnut weirdness (and I say that with all due respect, as a weird wingnut myself). After 10 years, Fox News has cancelled Red Eye.
Red Eye the TV show has outlived Red Eye the newspaper, by a couple months.
The overnight news/comedy show on Fox News has been canceled, TVNewser has learned, with the final show airing this Friday night at 3 a.m.
The show always seemed like an odd fit for Fox News, and it’s kind of amazing that they kept plugging away as long as they did. Here are a couple of my favorite moments from the show:

Thank you, Red Eye. You tried to do something different, and you got away with it for a full decade. You’re an inspiration to us all. Or to me, at least. Probably just to me.
