Newspaper Cover: ‘Earth To Trump: F*ck You’ For Withdrawing From Paris [PHOTO]

The cover page of the German newspaper Berliner Kurier said “Fuck You” to President Donald Trump Thursday.

Hours after Trump announced his decision to pull out of the Paris agreement on climate change, the regional and daily tabloid printed a cover saying “Earth To Trump: Fuck You!” in a hybrid of German and English.

Not to be outdone, the cover of the more substantive German magazine Der Spiegel claimed that Donald Trump was putting the Earth last.


After Trump was elected in November, Der Spiegel depicted his head as a giant flaming asteroid headed to devour Earth. Their headline read “The End of the World (as we know it).”

German politicians claimed they will double down on the deal now that Trump has left it.

“We in Germany, in Europe and the world will band together to take more decisive action than ever to confront and successfully surmount major challenges to humanity such as climate change,” German Chancellor Angela Merkel, vowed on Friday.

The Paris agreement nominally commits its signatories to efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Scientists suspect that even with the American cooperation, it would essentially be impossible to meet the agreement’s goal of limiting global warming two degrees Celsius by 2100. A study by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) concluded that if every single country met its pledge, it would only reduce global temperatures by 0.2 degrees Celsius.
