Amazon is smart. They know that in the next two weeks, you are going to spend an inordinate amount of time on the Internet frantically searching for something to get the old man for Father’s Day. To assist you, today they are offering a deal marketed as “Save 20 percent on Oral-B and Braun for Father’s Day.”

I have a couple things to say about this deal. First of all, the Braun shaver alluded to is actually way more than 20 percent off. It is over half off in fact:

Series 3 ProSkin 3010s Wet&Dry Electric Shaver for Men / Rechargeable Electric Razor, Blue on sale for $34.99

My second point concerns the second product in the deal: this rechargeable electric toothbrush with bluetooth. (Which also happens to be more than 20 percent off). Is there a more stereotypical Dad product than a Bluetooth toothbrush? That seems like it was made in a lab dedicated to designing silly products for old men. I mean, think about this for a second:

The NEW Genius 8000 pairs with your smartphone to enable Position Detection which uses facial recognition to help you know where you’ve brushed, so you never miss a zone.

Who on Earth needs their toothbrush to use facial recognition? Talk about unnecessary.

Oral-B Genius Pro 8000 Electronic Power Rechargeable Battery Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth Connectivity Powered by Braun on sale for $119.99

That said, Dad will love it, and you know it.
