Leonard Fournette, former LSU running back, was drafted in the first round by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fournette was a standout at LSU and it was no surprise he went in the first round of the draft.

As preseason gets well under way, Fournette has already stirred up some commotion with comments about transitioning from playing in the Southeastern Conference to the NFL. Fournette said the transition was “really easy,” according to ESPN.

There have been many people who thought these comments were quite absurd, but his teammates seem to agree with him. T.J. Yeldon is in his third year with the NFL and played college football for the University of Alabama. He told ESPN, “Playing in the SEC, the game speeds up. It’s faster. It’s kind of like the NFL. The NFL is a tad bit faster. I get where he’s coming from with that comment.”

It is only preseason right now, so we will have to see how Fournette does once the season ramps up in the regular season.
