Kate Upton and Justin Verlander have officially tied the knot.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and the Houston Astros pitcher got married at the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco resort in central Italy on Saturday. The ceremony was held at an old church at the top of a hill on the property, overlooking the Montalcino valley and vineyards, E! News reports.
Upton and Verlander have been together for years and went public with their engagement at the Met Gala back in May of 2016, but it wasn’t until just days after the World Series when the couple finally tied the knot. (SLIDESHOW: 15 Things You Didn’t Know About Kate Upton)
The 25-year-old supermodel wore a white dress with lace sleeves for the intimate ceremony. The 34-year-old Astros ace wore a black tuxedo.
The couple likely weren’t expecting Verlander to make it to the World Series when the wedding was planned. Unfortunately for the Astros pitcher, he had to miss out on the championship parade in Houston on Friday. But if you’re going to miss a once in a lifetime opportunity like that, marrying a supermodel is a pretty good excuse.
