The Ohio State Buckeyes’ hopes of making the college football playoff are still very much alive.
In fact, an argument could be made that OSU pretty much controls their own destiny. That’s essentially the argument odds expert R.J. Bell made Monday during an appearance on Colin Cowherd’s show “The Herd.”
Bell predicted that Ohio State and Alabama would likely meet in the playoff if both teams win out.
Told this to @ColinCowherd last week on @TheHerd – and MANY people did not like it. It’s more true than ever today …
If Alabama wins out
and
If Ohio State wins out
then

As a Wisconsin fan this is going to be painful to say, but Bell is 100 percent correct. Ohio State is almost certainly in if they beat Michigan and Wisconsin in the coming weeks. They’d have two losses, but the Buckeyes would have a slate of impressive wins.
The stakes are as high as they’ve ever been for the Big Ten title game. A playoff berth is on the line for Wisconsin and OSU. Everything matters in this game, just like it’s meant to be.
