Liberty University officials announced Monday that Tomi Lahren, Ray Rice and Corey Lewandowski will speak at the university’s December 2017 convocation.
Rice, who was let go from the Baltimore Ravens in 2014 for beating his then fiancé, now wife, Janay Palmer, and Lahren, whose pro-choice comments allegedly led to her firing from The Blaze, will speak at the convocation, according to The News & Advance. Lewandowski, another convocation headliner, was a former campaign manager for President Donald Trump, and subsequently worked as a CNN analyst.

Lahren, Rice and Lewandowski will speak separately, with Lahren speaking Dec. 4, Rice Dec. 6, and Lewandowski Dec. 8. The announcement garnered a slew of backlash from those who not only criticized the university’s choice of Rice, but also of Steve Strang. Strang wrote the book “God and Donald Trump,” promoting the belief that God raised up Trump as a kind of messianic candidate for America.
I, as a @LibertyUAlum, haven’t recommended anyone to @LibertyU or @libertyuonline in a long time. That’s been extended to “never will.”

Liberty University has garnered consistent criticism for university President Jerry Falwell Jr.’s outspoken support of Trump and Steve Bannon, and most recently came under fire for banning a pastor from campus for allegedly planning to lead an on-campus protest.
