Derrick Rose will reportedly return to the Cleveland Cavaliers after taking some time away from the team.

ESPN reported the following:

After a self-imposed exile, Derrick Rose flew to Cleveland Monday morning and plans to report to the Cleveland Cavaliers practice facility, league sources tell ESPN.

He’s expected to meet with front office officials and begin the process of returning after leaving the team last week.

Rose, 29, has been deliberating whether he wanted to work toward returning from a sprained ankle to rejoin the Cavaliers this season, or even continue his NBA career, league sources said.

I’m glad to see this. It looked like Rose’s career could have been over, and that would have been a shame. We might never return to the days of when he was absolutely a dominating force in the league, but you never want to see a guy’s career get derailed over injuries. It’s just an awful thing to happen.

Hopefully he’s able to comeback, and make a few plays a long the way. I’d love to watch him win a championship with the Cavaliers or any other team. He’s certainly a great enough player to earn one before it’s all said and done. It looks like we’re at least headed in the correct direction.
