Fox News currently tops all other news outlets on Twitter in 2017, according to a Tuesday tweet from CNN anchor Jake Tapper.
Tapper tweeted a graphic showing that Fox ranks number one in terms of mentions, retweets and likes on Twitter, with CNN coming in second. Sean Hannity ranked number one as Fox’s most tweeted about reporter or host, while Tapper held the first place slot for CNN.
The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman, MSNBC’s Joy Ann Reid, and The Washington Post’s David Fahrenthold were the number one hosts or reporters for their respective outlets.

Fox News is the most watched show on basic cable television as of October 2017, according to TVNews. Fox is also the second-most watched basic cable network on prime time TV, finishing just behind ESPN. CNN ranks number six on basic cable television, and number seven on prime time TV.
Fox News also dominated on cable news in October. Hannity took first place in terms of viewers, with 3.2 million watching his show, while Fox’s Tucker Carlson took second place with 2.8 million viewers, according to Forbes. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, whose show had previously claimed the top spot, placed third with 2.5 million total viewers.
