Evangelical Christian leader Franklin Graham admonished Rosie O’Donnell Tuesday to stop sentencing people to hell. Graham was taking O’Donnell to task for suggesting House Speaker Paul Ryan was headed for eternal perdition for his role in shepherding President Trump’s tax bill through Congress.
She said on Twitter that “fake altar boy” Ryan was going “straight to hell.”
Graham told O’Donnell to “clean up your mouth” and “put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ,” after the sometime comedian announced Ryan’s fate.
“Rosie, you don’t have the keys to hell, but I know the One who does,” Graham noted in a Tuesday Facebook post. “And I can tell you who will be there. Hell is going to be filled with people who reject God’s offer of salvation and turned their backs on His laws and standards, refusing to repent.”
Graham suggested O’Donnell show a little more concern for her own salvation and relationship with God.
“I hope one day you will put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and let him heal your heart, clean up your mouth, and forgive your sins,” he said. “Do that today—you’ll never regret it.”
Graham’s suggestion that O’Donnell “clean up” her vocabulary comes at a timely moment. O’Donnell recently faced-off with conservative social commentator Ben Shapiro, dismissing his criticism of her with the vulgar demand to “suck my dick.”
